Otter

Jon "Jondis" "Otter" "the Negoti-Otter" Discount (yes, that's his real last name), is the man who brought this motley crew (heh, heh) together back in 1996, and is largely responsible for selecting a lot of the mucus we play. Although only 26, Jon has already racked up (he said "rack") ten years' experience with classical violin and five with classical piano. He picked up the guitar seven years ago. He's one of those annoying people who apparently doesn't need to practice. (Well, sorta...) Jon is the jack-off of all trades, playing guitar, bass, keyboards, bagpipes, and electric dulcimer, as well as singing back-up yodels. The hat you see here has been worn to virtually every show we've ever played, and we're all afraid to ask whether Jon has ever washed it. When not picking his G-string, Jon can usually be found slavishly glued to Miami Vice, Law and Order, or the X-Files. After raising the price of Bell Atlantic pay phones to 35 cents (curse him), he recently moved to MCI, where he's currently working on the new "Five cents a minute if you're cute and I can have your phone number" plan.
